CRAG CLIMBS 

From the entrance of the Arve valley (Le Fayet) to the Swiss border, there are many training crags with different level of difficulties for the rock climbers.

The guidebook " Crag climbs in Chamonix"  from  François Burnier and Dominique Potard gives a list and information on each site.

Some bouldering sites have been developed such as les Houches, les Bossons, le Lavancher, Argentière, le col des Montets.

In case of bad weather, it's possible to climb indoor

- in Chamonix at centre Sportif "Richard Bozon" : a small well design room of 180 sq equiped with 800 hols - 3,60 m. high.

- in Les Houches village : 1,000 sq climbing hall -more than 100  routes from beginners to 9A (up to 16 m. high - overhang - corners - slabs) leading walls and top roping.
